Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures.
- Perform accurate vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical records and insurance information.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Michigan State Medical Assistant license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer skills with Electronic Health Records (EHR) experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or GED required.
