Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history collection with accuracy and empathy.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws, following strict protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and handle administrative duties such as scheduling and insurance verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming atmosphere for all patients.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or equivalent.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Strong communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Valid Tennessee (or Georgia, if applicable) state medical assistant license.
- Proficiency in computer systems and EMR software.
