Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health status by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians in strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously throughout the night shift, identifying changes that require immediate attention.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and care plans.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care and accurate documentation.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical incidents.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (new grads welcome with relevant internship).
- CPR (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
