Responsibilities
- Perform Clinical Duties: Accurately measure vital signs, EKGs, and basic screenings to ensure patient health monitoring.
- Assist Providers: Support physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
- Patient Care: Coordinate patient flow, prepare treatment rooms, and administer medications/injections as directed.
- Communication: Educate patients on treatment plans and provide emotional support during visits.
- Scheduling: Assist with appointment scheduling and patient registration to optimize clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred; weekend availability is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and strong computer skills.
- Interpersonal: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
