Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake screenings, accurately measure vital signs, and document medical histories.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform basic phlebotomy, EKGs, and administer injections/medications as directed.
- Manage and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups, lab results, and prescription refills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and varying shift schedules.
- Must be willing to pass a background check and drug screen.
