Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including injections, wound care, and ECGs
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing following strict protocols
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain efficient clinic workflows
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions
- Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized according to OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-volume environments
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards
