Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and record them accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with gowning and draping, and obtaining medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician, strictly following safety protocols.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and urine analysis.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and answering patient inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
