Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vital sign measurements with precision and empathy.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
- Manage administrative duties including scheduling appointments, updating electronic health records (EHR), and handling billing inquiries.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and sterilization protocols.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and restock supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician practice or clinic setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
