Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Conduct patient intakes, accurately record vital signs, and obtain comprehensive medical histories.
- Clinical Assistance: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administrative Operations: Manage appointment scheduling, process insurance verifications, and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision.
- Phlebotomy: Perform venipuncture and blood draws following strict safety and hygiene protocols.
- Medication Support: Prepare and administer medications under the direct supervision of licensed providers.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, ensuring a seamless experience.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHR systems and medical software.
