Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and updating medical histories.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during clinical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs.
- Maintain and organize medical records and charts accurately.
- Greet patients and manage the front desk reception area as needed.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
Qualifications
- Current CMA or RMA certification from the AAMA or AMT.
- Active Wisconsin Medical Assistant license.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting (1-2 years preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
