Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Take patient vital signs, medical histories, and record information in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Greet patients, check them in, and answer incoming calls professionally.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
