Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including vitals, medical history, and insurance verification.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory.
- Administer injections, medications, and perform basic EKG testing as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and ensuring comfort.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and communicate with other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required.
