Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare and administer medications under physician supervision
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain efficient workflow
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate with insurance providers and billing departments
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Valid CPR certification and TB clearance
