Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per infection control protocols
- Schedule patient appointments and handle administrative tasks
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and lab test follow-ups
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Active CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
