Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vitals.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage incoming inquiries.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) preferred but not required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
