Responsibilities
- Prepare and room patients for examinations and clinical procedures.
- Take and accurately record vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms to ensure hygiene standards.
- Manage patient records and electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
- High school diploma or GED required.
