Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and prepare patients for examination.
- Measure vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance companies.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
