Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care across departments
- Inventory and maintain medical supplies and equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or NextGen)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in diverse teams
- High school diploma or equivalent required
