Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Communication: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and collect co-pays while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Vital Signs & Triage: Accurately measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and document patient symptoms.
- Clinical Support: Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies; assist providers during patient exams and minor procedures.
- Phlebotomy & Admin: Perform blood draws, administer injections, and manage patient charts using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Follow-up: Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient education regarding medications and treatments.
- Compliance: Adhere to strict HIPAA regulations and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program and possess current CMA, RMA, or NHCAA certification.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and proficiency in phlebotomy.
- Interpersonal: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
