Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals checks, and prepare examination rooms for clinical visits.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform basic phlebotomy as required.
- Record patient medical histories, symptoms, and vital signs accurately into EHR systems.
- Coordinate patient appointments, manage incoming calls, and handle insurance verification.
- Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure hygiene standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education regarding treatments and medications.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
