Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments efficiently.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during clinical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy duties.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and manage the front desk flow.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
