Responsibilities
- Perform Clinical Duties: Administer vital signs, EKGs, and prepare patients for examinations by providers.
- Front Office Support: Manage patient check-ins, verify insurance eligibility, and handle phone inquiries efficiently.
- Lab Assistance: Collect and process laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy, following strict safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies and examination rooms to ensure readiness.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions regarding medications, follow-up care, and health education.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or MA certification from an accredited institution is required.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Adaptability: Ability to multitask effectively in a busy clinical environment.
