Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs and recording medical history accurately.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Laboratory Work: Perform basic laboratory tests and draw blood specimens following strict safety protocols.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Administration: Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle front-desk administrative tasks.
- Coordination: Schedule patient appointments and communicate effectively with patients regarding follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (National or State) required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
- Compliance: Current BLS and CPR certification required; HIPAA compliance knowledge is a plus.
