Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and prepare intake forms for new patients.
- Room Preparation: Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers during examinations, perform vitals, and prepare instruments.
- Procedures: Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and administer injections as directed.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient information, update medical records, and maintain confidentiality.
- Communication: Answer phones, schedule appointments, and facilitate patient communication with the front desk.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
- Licensure: Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA (National Certified Medical Assistant).
- CPR: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the AHA.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Technology: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., AthenaHealth, Epic).
