Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and ensure they are seated comfortably in the examination room.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and recording medical histories.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during physical exams and minor procedures.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalysis, following strict safety protocols.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, including updating patient charts and logging visit notes.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider and document doses accurately.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and handle insurance verification processes.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
