Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, including recording vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures with precision and care.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and answering patient inquiries.
- Assist with basic laboratory procedures, such as phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Medical Assistant license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical demands of the role.
