Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital measurements and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and maintain examination rooms
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per protocol
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background clearance and immunization records up-to-date
