Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments and handle insurance verifications
- Maintain clean, sterile clinical environments and inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Active California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in venipuncture and EKG procedures
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
