Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy services
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain patient confidentiality
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and medical supplies
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA credential
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
