Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient examinations and take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse).
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking and explaining procedures.
- Collect and process lab specimens, including blood draws (phlebotomy).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Greet patients and manage front-desk operations to ensure a smooth flow.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
