Responsibilities
- Perform Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and prepare medical records for appointments.
- Conduct Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Examinations: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist physicians during patient visits.
- Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Collect blood and other specimens for lab testing following strict safety protocols.
- Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medications, follow-up care, and health maintenance to patients.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Computer Literacy: Comfortable navigating EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
