Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and maintain filing systems.
- Provide patient education and instructions on healthcare maintenance and medications.
- Coordinate patient appointments, manage front desk workflow, and answer incoming calls.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
