Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, organized examination rooms
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with insurance providers
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to work flexible shifts including occasional evenings
