Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments, arrange referrals, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
- Assist with laboratory specimen collection and basic lab testing
- Coordinate with insurance providers and handle billing documentation
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and OSHA standards
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multitask in high-volume settings
- Associate's degree or certificate in Medical Assisting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
