Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure a smooth clinical workflow.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and prepare necessary medical forms.
- Room Preparation: Sterilize medical equipment and prepare examination rooms for patient use, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
- Lab Work: Collect and process laboratory specimens as directed by the provider.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-appointment instructions and medication queries.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Location: Must reside in or be willing to commute to Phoenix, AZ.
