Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient intake and vital sign measurements with precision and professionalism.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations, procedures, and patient rounds.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Process laboratory specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests, including EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Manage patient records, including updating and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage incoming communications efficiently.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is strongly preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote, or on-site hospital environment.
