Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, patient measurements, and comprehensive health assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Manage and maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care to ensure seamless service.
- Assist with laboratory duties, including specimen collection and processing.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Records software.
