Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight monitoring.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment for each patient.
- Assist providers during patient exams and procedures.
- Administer injections, vaccines, and draw blood samples as directed.
- Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and verify insurance.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record systems.
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
