Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor surgical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Administer medications and treatments as per provider orders
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional evenings
