Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, patient intake screenings, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist physicians and nurses during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage administrative duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining patient records.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to strict hygiene protocols.
- Administer injections, perform basic lab tests, and collect specimens as directed by the provider.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications, diet, and aftercare.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment for all visitors.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Reliable attendance and a proven track record of punctuality.
