Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, patient intake, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during medical procedures and examinations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs as required.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a licensed provider.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and provide patient education.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
