Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight.</li><li>Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.</li><li>Assist providers during patient examinations and minor procedures, handing instruments and maintaining visibility.</li><li>Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws, following strict safety protocols.</li><li>Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information and updating electronic health records (EHR).</li><li>Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventative care plans.</li><li>Answer phone inquiries and triage messages from patients and referring physicians promptly.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.</li><li>Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.</li><li>1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or medical setting preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.</li><li>Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.</li><li>Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.</li></ul>
