Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the vital link between our patients and providers. Your daily tasks will include:
Responsibilities
- Assist providers during patient examinations and clinical procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare patients for examinations and educate them on treatment plans.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized examination room environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
