Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our clinic, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and cared for. You will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals to assist with clinical procedures, patient intake, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their personal and insurance information upon arrival.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging instruments.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis or blood draws, following strict protocols.
- Manage patient files and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precise documentation.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; a certificate in Medical Assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Willingness to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check.
