Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams and ensure examination rooms are stocked and sanitized.
- Administer injections and vaccinations as directed by the provider.
- Perform basic phlebotomy and EKG procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding instructions, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) software.
