Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and record data accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Draw blood samples and administer injections as directed by the physician.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries professionally.
- Assist with basic laboratory testing and specimen collection.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong computer proficiency with experience in EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Illinois state licensure required.
