Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and registration accurately, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring sterilization and equipment readiness.
- Manage administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, faxing, and maintaining patient records.
- Coordinate with insurance companies for claims and billing verification.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
