Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify demographic information, and prepare them for examination.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies; assist providers with procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, handle incoming calls, and manage patient charts (EHR).
- Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples and perform basic point-of-care testing as required.
- Communication: Clearly communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred but not required for entry-level candidates willing to train.
- Experience: No prior medical experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
