Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient examinations, taking vital signs, and documenting medical histories accurately.
- Front Office Operations: Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Lab & Procedures: Perform basic laboratory tests, prepare specimens for analysis, and assist with minor medical procedures.
- Charting: Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA standards.
- Medication Management: Administer medications under provider supervision and prepare prescription refills as directed.
- Customer Service: Provide a welcoming and professional experience for every patient and family member that walks through our doors.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or MA certification from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Arizona.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and basic medical software.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree preferred.
