Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by assisting providers with rooming and vitals.
- Perform routine clinical duties including phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic wound care.
- Manage patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and EHR systems.
- Greet patients warmly and answer phone inquiries with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Assist with laboratory specimen collection and processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
